Why use this link shortener?

Long URLs can be difficult to share, especially when they contain tracking parameters, product details, or other extra information. A shorter link is easier to copy, remember, and use in social media posts, messages, emails, and printed materials.

This link shortener lets you turn a long URL into a compact link. You can also create a custom slug when you want a short link that is easier to recognize.

For example, instead of sharing a long address such as https://example.com/products/summer-collection?utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=sale, you can create a shorter link such as /s/summer-sale.

How to shorten a URL

  1. Paste the complete destination URL into the URL field.
  2. Check that the address starts with http:// or https:// and points to the page you want to share.
  3. Enter an optional custom slug if you want a specific short code, such as summer-sale.
  4. If the tool provides an expiration option, set the number of days for temporary links.
  5. Click Shorten URL to create the short link.
  6. Copy the generated link and use it wherever you need it.
  7. If click statistics are available, you can return to the tool later to review the activity of your shortened links.

An example

Suppose you want to share this long product URL:

https://mystore.com/products/summer-collection?utm_source=instagram&utm_campaign=june-sale

You could enter summer-sale as the custom slug and create a short link such as:

/s/summer-sale

The destination page remains the same, but the short version is easier to share and recognize. If you use a custom slug, choose something meaningful so you can identify the purpose of the link later.

Link Shortener – FAQ

When you create a short link, it's stored in a database on this server along with your original URL. When someone visits the short link, they're redirected to your original URL, and the click is logged. Everything runs on the same site — no third-party service involved.
Yes, completely. Unlike services like bit.ly or TinyURL that offer limited free tiers, this shortener runs on our server and has no usage limits — no monthly caps, no paid plans, no ads on the redirect page. Create as many links as you need.
To keep the service fast and prevent abuse, we limit creation to 20 new links per hour per IP address. That's more than enough for personal use. There's no limit on how many times each short link can be clicked.
Yes. Enter any custom slug in the "Custom slug" field (2-20 characters, letters, numbers, dashes, or underscores) and your short link will use it. If you leave it empty, we'll generate a random 5-7 character code for you.
Each short link shows its click count in the "Your Recent Links" section. We also log the IP address, referer, and user agent of every click on the server — this data is used for statistics and analytics but isn't shown publicly.
Yes. Each link in your list has a delete button. Since links are tied to your IP address, you can only delete links you created from this device. If you change IP addresses, you may lose access to your link list.
By default, no. If you want a link to expire, enter a number of days in the "Expires in" field when creating it. After that many days, the link will show an "Expired" message instead of redirecting. Use this for temporary promotions or limited-time offers.
Your original URLs are visible only to you (matched by IP). Click data (IPs, referrers, user agents) is logged for analytics but never shared. The redirect itself is public — anyone with the short link can use it to reach your URL.
